CAIC's new 2 photon microscope, the TriM Scope II from LaVision BioTec will be installed and running in January 2014
CAIC's new 2 photon microscope, the TriM Scope II from LaVision BioTec will be installed and running in January 2014. The system will be powered by the Insight DeepSee laser by Spectra Physics (the first installation in the UK). The Insight laser produces a tunable line from 690nm to 1300nm with high power and short pulses across that range. The TriM Scope II will be fitted with adaptive optics, resonant scanner and the most sensitive detectors to allow fast imaging deep into samples whilst reducing photodamage.
The system will be up and running early in 2014.
