The Department of Genetics Abberior 3D STED microscope including is open for all users and training as well as use of the microscope can be requested using either the CAIC booking system (PPMS login required).

This TwinHead STED microscope is composed of an inverted as well as an upright microscope frame and allows super resolution imaging for a wide range of samples.

Multiple excitation laser lines and multiple depletion lasers in combination with multiple highly efficient APD detectors ensure that the most challenging samples can be images with resolutions down to a few 10 nm. See a few examples of use to the left.
